"The Bay in Colors" is my recent artwork (oil and acrylic blend) in a unique style characterised by my fascination with colors, vivid hues and strong brush strokes. My passion for colors has been inspired by the maestry of Monet and Hockney, but the style has been developed over several years of a tedious process of experimenting. My prior work with the stained glass window design has undoubtedly influenced it.
My bold style combined with intense colors accentuates the sheer beauty of marine environment of the Redland Bay (Southern Queensland) where the bright colors of water and the lush greenary of land intertwine and blend in, and where I have joyfully settled to live and work.
This artwork was on display at the group 'Outside In' exhibition followed by my solo exhibition in the St. Vincent's Private Hospital in Brisbane in 2014-2015. Currently, it is displayed at the Art Library of St Vincent's Private Hospital - as print on canvas (2016).
The third place in the category 'Expressionism' in the American Art Awards in 2015. Special Recognition Award in the 'Nature 2015' Competition, Light, Space and Time Gallery, Jupiter, FL, August 2015.
