Artist's Description
Zofia's elegant portraiture work 'Lost in thought' looks back on the past and languorously contemplates the future. This work is subtly commanding the viewer's attention at the first glance. A story evolves as the viewer experiences moments of self-reflection. This process elevates and suspends him in moments of potentiality as the viewer muses on what he is being faced with and what he should and could become. This artwork received a honorary mention in the Light Space and Time Gallery competition "Figuratives" in June 2012. It competed with 731 entries from 216 artists, from 19 different countries from around the world, including the Australia, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Ireland, Netherlands, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and from 33 different states. The first place in the Portraits category of the 2013 American Art Awards competition - assessed by 25 art galleries in the United States.
About Zofia Kijak

I have introduced my three distinctive styles: 'joie de vivre', 'substance' and 'floral abstract' which dominate in my recent artwork. From early 2018, a curator for art gallaries operated by a developer, HB Reavis,...
